This trip derives from an interest in sea level rise and the architectural, structural and ecological strategies countries employ to coexist with the sea. The Netherlands is an exposition of successful projects and thoughtful engineering. There are time-tested and large scale projects that exhibit the strength and intelligence required to cope with what amounts to an impending global concern.
